This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Submit and oversee ISP orders for the installation of new circuits, upgrades, disconnections, relocations, and service modifications.
• Collaborate with clients, ISPs, carriers, site contacts, and internal network teams throughout the entire order process.
• Monitor order milestones, installation timelines, provisioning, testing, and service activation.
• Follow up on any delays and obstacles encountered.
• Open, track, and escalate provider tickets related to outages, service degradation, packet loss, latency, and other circuit-related issues.
• Diagnose connectivity problems and coordinate testing, activation, failover validation, and restoration of circuits.
• Assist in network incident responses by gathering circuit and device data, evaluating service impacts, and providing status updates.
• Keep accurate records of circuits, providers, sites, orders, tickets, and escalations.
• Generate status reports and communicate risks, delays, outages, and progress on resolutions.
• Adhere to operational procedures, change control protocols, SLAs, and client communication standards.
• Ensure that ISP orders, circuit issue escalations, stakeholder updates, records, and SLA requirements align with success metrics.
• Practical experience in a network operations or engineering position supporting enterprise networks.
• Proficient understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4 addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, and default gateways.
• Knowledge of BGP and OSPF protocols.
• Experience in troubleshooting WAN and internet connectivity challenges, including latency, packet loss, jitter, bandwidth issues, and route reachability.
• Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN devices.
• Capability to utilize tools such as ping, traceroute/tracert, and nslookup.
• Experience in reviewing interface statuses, error counters, logs, routing data, and circuit handoff information.
• Understanding of Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), broadband, Ethernet, MPLS, and SD-WAN underlay circuits.
• Ability to differentiate between provider-side issues, access-circuit problems, and customer network challenges.
• Background in telecom, ISP, carrier, or network operations.
• Proficient with ISP portals, ticketing systems, order management software, and spreadsheets.
• Willingness to support U.S. business hours and participate in an on-call or after-hours rotation if necessary.
