Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Design and execute real-time automation control systems and information solutions.

• Develop innovative solutions during the project design stage.

• Program, troubleshoot, and validate systems.

• Generate project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documentation, case studies, and additional relevant documentation.

• Commission new solutions at customer locations.

• Recognize opportunities for enhancement.

• Establish methodologies and address complex challenges.

• Acquire knowledge of emerging technologies.

• Guide colleagues by leveraging subject-matter expertise.

• Collaborate on machine and process control, information solutions, database development, operational efficiency, and mechatronics.

• Design and configure PLC/PAC, HMI, SCADA, network, database, and vision systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successful or anticipated completion of a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering Technology degree.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience with some or all of the listed technologies.

• Proficiency in PLC/PAC programming, HMI, SCADA, networking, vision systems, and associated automation technologies.

• Detail-oriented, conscientious, analytical, focused, proactive individual, and a quick learner.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Valid Driver’s License required.

• Full-time access to a personal vehicle necessary.

• Willingness to travel up to 30–50% within the USA.

• Experience in the food and beverage and life sciences sectors is preferred.

• Familiarity with DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Remote IO, Modbus is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience with Python, Historian (PI System), and databases is beneficial.
