Systems and Network Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Join our Global Engineering Network

• Provide support, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure environments across systems, networking, cloud services, and end-user technologies

• Ensure the stability, performance, and security of distributed enterprise environments while assisting with operational activities, troubleshooting incidents, and supporting infrastructure projects within cloud, systems, networking, and remote support domains

• Conduct remote systems and network administration tasks across enterprise environments

• Maintain and support cloud infrastructure services, which include virtual machines, backup solutions, storage monitoring, and snapshots

• Remotely administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments

• Oversee networking infrastructure, firewall configurations, VPN connectivity, and telephony services

• Address technical incidents and service requests following IT service management best practices

• Monitor infrastructure environments remotely and proactively resolve alerts, outages, and operational risks

• Diagnose hardware, software, networking, and end-user device issues using remote support tools

• Provide remote technical assistance to users, stakeholders, and customers in multiple regions

• Conduct backup validation and support disaster recovery efforts for infrastructure environments

• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks across systems, networking, security, and cloud infrastructure

• Keep precise technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and infrastructure inventories

• Engage in remote on-call rotations and offer after-hours support when necessary

• Collaborate with distributed cross-functional teams on both operational and project-based initiatives

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline

• Over 5 years of experience in remote systems administration, infrastructure support, or network operations

• Proficiency in:

• - Windows Server administration

• - Linux server environments

• - Cloud infrastructure platforms

• - Networking technologies and firewall management

• - VPN and remote connectivity solutions

• - IT support and troubleshooting processes

• Familiarity with IT service management and ITIL best practices is a plus

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication abilities, with experience in supporting remote users and global teams

• Effective time management and self-organization skills

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and enterprise infrastructure solutions

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
