This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Development of NGN Architecture

• Creation of a 5G White Paper on selected topics

• Update on the 5G Readiness Survey and Military Readiness Assessment

• Review of Network Management and Cyber Defense (NMCD)

• Advanced IP Management Experimentation (OPTION).

• Deliverables for the base period include:

• D1- Project Kick-off and Requirements Analysis

• D2- Phase 1 of NGN Architecture Development

• D3- Review of Network Management and Cyber Defense (NMCD)

• D4- Phase 2 of NGN Architecture Development

• D5- Development of 5G White Paper

• D6- Conducting the 5G Readiness Assessment

• D7- Submission of Final Reports

• Deliverables for the option period include:

• D1- Network Management and Cyber Defense (NMCD) – Design for Advanced IP Management Experiment

• D7- Network Management and Cyber Defense (NMCD) – Pilot for Advanced IP Management Experiment

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in large and complex Communication and Information Systems (CIS) engineering and design, including International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) 5G networks, Communication Systems, Networks, Infrastructure, Virtualization, Cloud, Security, Monitoring and Control, and Interoperability

• Proficient in system architecture and design

• Experience in Enterprise and Capability architecture

• Knowledge of SMC aspects, relevant frameworks, and their implementation in extensive CIS networks

• Familiarity with Military CIS systems

• Proficient in designing readiness assessments, surveys, and maturity assessment models for technology adoption

• Understanding of CIS-related international, commercial, and industrial standards, with experience in deployable CIS systems (Military and/or Civilian)

• Experience in Service Design and Management

• Knowledge of NATO political ambitions and organizational structure
