Systems Administrator, Linux

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in advanced Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu Server).

• Oversee virtualized environments in VMware throughout the transition phase.

• Actively participate in the migration to OpenShift and Nutanix.

• Implement automation using Shell scripting and Ansible.

• Facilitate the adoption and enhancement of SRE practices.

• Handle automation, observability, management of SLIs/SLOs, and reliability.

• Conduct blameless post-mortems.

• Execute patching, hardening, and security governance.

• Tackle high-complexity troubleshooting (kernel, I/O, networking).

• Standardize services and develop technical documentation.

• Take proactive measures to ensure platform stability and performance.

• Provide support and mentorship for junior and mid-level analysts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline.

• Proficient in advanced Linux administration (RHEL-based and Debian-based).

• Skilled in Shell scripting and automation with Ansible.

• Familiar with VMware vSphere/ESXi 6.7 or higher.

• Expertise in troubleshooting: systemd, logs, kernel, LVM, multipath.

• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, firewall, bonding, DNS.

• Acquainted with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic).

• Automation- and engineering-focused (SRE mindset).

• Structured thinking with an emphasis on root cause analysis.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary settings.

• Possess an ownership mindset and accountability.
