System Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and validate features for cutting-edge SoC architecture in partnership with hardware and software engineers.

• Engage in preliminary modeling and simulation essential for product development.

• Collaborate with hardware, silicon, and pre-silicon teams to initiate new platforms, products, and prototype systems.

• Facilitate core OS software on new platforms during the SoC bring-up process.

• Create, develop, unit test, document, and sustain features for Tegra SoCs.

• Generate architecture and design specifications to impact hardware architecture and system software.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in software development.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong ownership on prior projects.

• Practical technical experience and proven excellence in an environment with intricate software and hardware designs.

• Exceptional C programming skills and low-level driver experience.

• Solid background and expertise in complex system-level debugging.

• Familiarity with ARM-based processor architecture.

• Understanding of computer system architecture, including fundamentals of microprocessors, microcontrollers, caches, buses, memory controllers, and DMA.

• Experience with chip or board bring-up processes.

• Proven track record in developing high-quality embedded code.

• Proficient with JTAG and other debugging tools.
