This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the development and upkeep of system, operational, data, and integration architecture utilizing MBSE and DoDAF/UAF frameworks.
• Create and manage system models (SysML/UML) that encapsulate requirements, interfaces, workflows, and comprehensive mission threads with complete traceability.
• Propel the digital engineering strategy, emphasizing the adoption of the digital thread, authoritative models, and model-driven decision-making processes.
• Convert business, operational, and technical requirements into scalable solution architectures that facilitate enterprise systems and integrations.
• Define integration patterns, interface specifications, and interoperability criteria across DoD and partner systems.
• Establish architecture governance, modeling standards, and technical baselines; aid in design reviews and leadership presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, functional, and program teams to address risks, identify gaps, and manage cross-domain dependencies.
• Contribute to the formulation of technology roadmaps, transition planning, and implementation strategies for enterprise transformation.
• U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance or the capability to obtain one.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in designing enterprise, system, or solution architectures within DoD or similar environments.
• Proven systems engineering proficiency, including the breakdown of complex systems and modeling of structure, behavior, interfaces, and data.
• Familiarity with SysML/UML modeling techniques and experience using recognized MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, Sparx EA, Rhapsody, GENESYS).
• Understanding of DoDAF, UAF, or comparable architecture frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of briefing technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
