This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee space planning and architectural design for governmental and institutional projects.
• Ensure that layouts comply with FAA regulations while effectively addressing functional needs.
• Create conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documentation.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and specialty consultants.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local building codes.
• Perform comprehensive space programming, circulation analysis, and occupant load assessments.
• Utilize specialized architectural and design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, BIM).
• Implement cost estimating and quantity takeoff tools (e.g., RSMeans, Bluebeam).
• Assist in construction administration through reviewing submittals, addressing RFIs, and conducting site observations.
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of design experience in commercial, industrial, and/or government facilities.
• Proven experience in assessing building enclosures, including roofing and below-grade waterproofing.
• Background in design, failure analysis, and Enclosure Commissioning activities.
