This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the strategic architecture of the telematics business for claims, pinpointing areas where telematics can deliver substantial operational and customer value throughout FNOL, investigation, decision-making, and subsequent claim processes.
• Collaborate with claims, enterprise telematics, analytics, data science, product, and engineering teams to synchronize priorities, shape the direction of solutions, and convert business objectives into actionable technical tasks.
• Spearhead discovery, experimentation, and test-and-learn initiatives to confirm how telematics data can enhance claim outcomes and operational efficiency prior to widespread implementation.
• Establish and assess success criteria for telematics-enabled claims use cases, exploring opportunities related to outcome comparison, decision-quality enhancement, FNOL triage improvement, and advanced crash reconstruction/investigation support.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of business architecture solutions, providing recommendations for enhancements that include process development, improvement, rollout, and integration activities, while ensuring agile process oversight across telematics-enabled workflows.
• Convert business requirements into technical specifications and oversee the implementation of initiatives, operating at the capability level to support larger platforms, including telematics-enabled claims functionalities.
• Participate in discovery, experimentation, and test-and-learn projects to validate hypotheses and solution paths, actively engaging stakeholders to gather insights and guarantee the successful execution of initiatives.
• Create and sustain business architecture models, frameworks, and roadmaps that integrate telematics capabilities to meet production, quality, and customer service objectives.
• Oversee the implementation of initiatives, working collaboratively with stakeholders across claims, telematics, product, engineering, and analytics teams to align business strategies with technological solutions and ensure seamless integration between capabilities.
• Analyze and comprehend existing business processes, goals, and objectives, identifying areas for improvement, optimization, and reuse, including leveraging telematics data to enhance workflows and decision-making.
• Communicate the potential benefits of transformation initiatives within the innovation portfolio, specifically linking telematics capabilities to quantifiable business outcomes such as cycle time, routing accuracy, and customer experience.
• Work alongside other Digital Business Architects to ensure cohesive integration between workstreams and uniformity in architecture practices.
• Collaboratively drive the transformation strategy, vision, and roadmap, championing innovative concepts, including telematics and connected-claims capabilities throughout the organization.
• Mentor and guide less experienced Business Architects, facilitating their career advancement while serving as a senior individual contributor.
• Over 7 years of experience in business architecture, product strategy, operating model design, or related transformation roles.
• Proven ability to translate telematics data into operational value, preferably in claims, insurance, customer service, risk management, or similar workflows where decision speed, quality, and automation are crucial.
• Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders across business, technology, and product teams.
• Experience with telematics, connected-vehicle ecosystems, or related data-driven domains (preferred).
• Capability to support modeling, roadmap creation, and future-state design.
• Experience in the property and auto insurance sectors.
• Familiarity with OEM/embedded telematics, connected-car data partnerships, or multi-source telematics ecosystems beyond mobile-app-only data.
• Understanding of insurance regulatory/privacy considerations associated with telematics, usage-based insurance, or product/claims data utilization.
• Experience collaborating with data science, predictive modeling, or experimentation teams to integrate analytics-driven capabilities into operational workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
