System Administrator, Linux

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Management of the server farm and IT infrastructure.

• Planning, installation, configuration, and administration of intricate Linux server environments.

• Ensuring system uptime through effective troubleshooting and incident management.

• On-call responsibilities (compensated).

• Independently developing concepts and executing them.

• Providing customer support (2nd Level, 3rd Level) via email, phone, and ticketing systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of popular Linux distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS).

• Strong understanding of server services (web servers, database servers, mail servers, DNS).

• Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems is advantageous.

• Good understanding of networking and encryption technologies (TCP/IP, IPsec, OpenVPN, SSL, firewalls, high availability, load balancing).

• Business-fluent German (C1 GER) is mandatory for daily communication.

• Proficient in English.

• Experience with virtualization technologies from providers such as VMware, Proxmox, and Virtuozzo.

• Familiarity with server management interfaces (Plesk, Virtuozzo Automator, Confixx).
