• Formulate and implement a proactive partnership strategy that aligns with market trends and platform objectives.
• Create intricate, multi-asset and platform-based collaborations, incorporating risk-sharing and co-development models.
• Organize intellectual property, governance, financial structures, and milestone frameworks to maximize long-term portfolio value.
• Exit or reorganize partnerships when strategic interests no longer align.
• Perform systematic market analysis to pinpoint emerging scientific advancements, technological inflection points, and capital movements.
• Anticipate future innovation hubs and influence participation within these ecosystems.
• Develop regional and global partnership strategies that support Evotec’s long-term growth objectives.
• Lead negotiations with C-suite executives and Board members.
• Convert scientific and translational strategies into commercially viable deal frameworks.
• Balance risk, capital exposure, and resource distribution across a diversified partnership portfolio.
• Align scientific, legal, financial, and operational functions from concept through contract and into launch.
• Create governance models that facilitate effective decision-making and execution.
• Foster internal alignment across different geographies and therapeutic sectors.
• Clearly communicate strategic rationale and long-term value creation to executive committees and external partners.
• Several years of experience in biopharma or biotech industries.
• Advanced scientific or medical qualifications.
• Extensive background in drug discovery, translational science, and early clinical strategies.
• Proven history of structuring and finalizing complex, innovation-driven partnerships.
• Experience in negotiations at C-suite and Board levels.
• Established global connections with senior scientific and industry leaders.
• Portfolio-oriented mindset across multinational regions.
• Strong comprehension of portfolio balance including risk, capital, and resource exposure.
• Ability to foresee emerging scientific and market inflection points.
• Experience in designing governance models that enhance decision-making efficiency.
• Capability to manage lengthy deals and multi-year partnership developments.
• Proven effectiveness in high-ambiguity, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong advocacy for change informed by external innovation insights.
