SVP, Mortgage Funding Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage key initiatives to utilize the company’s banking capabilities to finance Cornerstone’s mortgage banking retail operations.

• Establish mortgage funding lines for our joint venture builder partners.

• Oversee daily borrowings, advance rates, curtailment schedules, and ensure collateral eligibility.

• Review wire transfers, closing documents, and authorize the disbursement of funds to title and settlement agents.

• Collaborate with Capital Markets on the origination and sale of loans to secondary market investors or Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs).

• Assess a Warehouse Management System that integrates with Phoenix Core, LV365, and Data Warehouse.

• Create and implement a phased rollout strategy for CCB mortgage funding, including staffing, gating criteria, and pilot testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.

• 10–15+ years of experience in warehouse lending, correspondent lending, mortgage banking, or specialty finance.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing operations and financial performance.

• In-depth knowledge of warehouse lending structures, collateral management, treasury, and regulatory standards.

• Proficiency with warehouse lending platforms such as OptiFunder Greyhound, ProMerit/WLS, or similar systems.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with warehouse lending platforms and core systems that monitor line availability, collateral pooling, and document custody (e.g., ProMerit, Greyhound by OptiFunder).

• Experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) used for processing and underwriting where the loan originates (e.g., Empower, Loan Vision, Black Knight).

• Knowledge of Document Management & Custody systems for tracking and dispatching physical or eNotes (e.g., MERS integrations, DocMagic, eSignSystems).
