This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with Specialty Operations leaders to address intricate business challenges utilizing data, analytics, and quantitative decision-making.
• Convert unclear business inquiries into structured analytical frameworks.
• Produce actionable insights that influence both strategic and operational decisions.
• Act as a trusted advisor for business stakeholders.
• Discover opportunities for operational enhancement through statistical reasoning, business insight, and systematic problem-solving.
• Formulate hypotheses, perform statistical analysis, and engage in experimentation and forecasting.
• Deliver clear recommendations that lead to measurable business results.
• Work closely with business leaders to tackle significant operational challenges within CVS Specialty.
• Condense large data sets into succinct insights for both business and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize opportunities and create data-driven recommendations.
• Oversee multiple projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in analytics, decision science, management consulting, business analytics, data science, operations research, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in resolving complex business issues through statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
• Proficiency in structuring ambiguous challenges into actionable analytical strategies.
• Experience with hypothesis testing, regression analysis, forecasting, segmentation, and experimental design.
• Competence in SQL.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling.
• Ability to distill large datasets into concise, actionable insights.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities.
• Experience in influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proven track record of working directly with business leaders.
• Capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly collaborative setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field is required.
• A Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline or an MBA is preferred.
• Preferred: experience in management consulting or internal strategy and analytics.
• Preferred: background in healthcare, pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, payer, or healthcare operations.
• Preferred: knowledge of operational performance metrics, process optimization, workforce analytics, or service operations.
• Preferred: experience in business experiment design and evaluation, including A/B testing, pilot studies, and quasi-experimental analyses.
• Preferred: understanding of predictive modeling and machine learning concepts.
• Preferred: skills in developing executive presentations and facilitating senior leadership discussions.
• Preferred: experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Exposure to AI-driven decision support tools, generative AI, or intelligent analytics platforms is advantageous but not mandatory.
