Sustainability, Environment & Social Value Strategy Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the execution of GBE-N’s external sustainability and social value strategy, ensuring it aligns with corporate goals, stakeholder expectations, and global best practices.

• Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, industry organizations, community groups, and NGOs.

• Track and analyze emerging regulatory, market, and societal trends, providing insights to senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and strategic positioning.

• Promote the integration of sustainability and social value within corporate strategy, procurement, and business development efforts.

• Lead initiatives for stakeholder engagement, encompassing consultations, partnerships, and collaborative programme development that delivers value.

• Supervise the creation of strategic frameworks and policies that support long-term sustainability and social value objectives.

• Ensure GBE-N’s sustainability and social value performance is benchmarked and externally validated, identifying avenues for recognition and improvement.

• Assist in producing thought leadership content, including white papers, case studies, and impact narratives that highlight GBE-N’s accomplishments.

• Offer strategic insights for tenders and serve as a subject matter expert for sustainability and social value, including the development of pertinent procurement processes and procedures.

• Prepare and present high-quality reports for both internal and external audiences, including annual sustainability reports and regulatory submissions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in sustainability management, environmental policy, social value projects, or external reporting roles, with a successful track record in programme development and implementation.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of addressing complex sustainability challenges and community needs while formulating effective solutions through critical thinking and creativity.

• Proven accountability in managing projects, achieving measurable results, and effectively communicating outcomes to various stakeholders.

• Proficient in sustainability reporting/social value measurement tools, data analysis software, and project management systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience in sustainability management, ESG reporting, environmental policy, or social value initiatives.
