This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Accountable for gathering data to ensure project completion.
• Identifying boundaries, markers, improvements, utilities, etc., while executing various project types, such as ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
• Review and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and download/file survey data.
• Conduct project research as necessary.
• Adhere to directions and work orders from project managers.
• Maintain daily communication with your Field Project Manager to verify if you are on schedule for your field tasks and notify them if you are ahead or behind schedule.
• Physical work environment requirements include:
• Capability to safely navigate rugged terrain in remote locations.
• Willingness to routinely work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and muddy situations, and in high or precarious environments.
• Capacity to transport heavy equipment to various job sites (regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds).
• Readiness to travel regionally and nationally frequently.
• Availability to work overtime, including weekends as required.
• Build and sustain excellent relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, complying with project schedules and budgets.
• Maintain survey equipment and address issues that arise in the field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• Strong grasp of surveying concepts and methodologies.
• Proficient in using survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, focusing on delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
