This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Tasked with gathering data to ensure successful project completion.
• Identifying boundaries, markers, improvements, utilities, etc., while executing various project types, including ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
• Verify and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and manage the downloading/filing of survey data.
• Conduct project-related research as necessary.
• Adhere to directives and work orders provided by project managers.
• Maintain daily communication with your Field Project Manager to ensure adherence to your field schedule and notify them if you are ahead or behind.
• Physical work environment requirements include:
• Ability to safely navigate rugged terrain in remote locations.
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and muddy environments, as well as elevated and precarious locations.
• Ability to transport heavy equipment to various job sites (regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds).
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally frequently.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends when required.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently, adhering to schedules and budgets.
• Maintain and troubleshoot survey equipment issues that may arise on-site.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• Strong comprehension of surveying principles and practices.
• Proficient in using survey tools such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team, focusing on delivering high-quality work punctually and within budget constraints.
