Survey Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Responsible for gathering data to ensure project completion.

• Identify boundaries, markers, improvements, utilities, and more while conducting various project types, including ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.

• Review and process raw field data, execute calculations, and download/file survey information.

• Conduct project research as required.

• Adhere to instructions and work orders from project managers.

• Maintain daily communication with your Field Project Manager to verify progress towards your field schedule and notify them if you are ahead or behind schedule.

• Capable of safely navigating rugged terrain in remote locations.

• Willing to work outdoors regularly in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and mud, as well as at high or precarious locations.

• Able to transport heavy equipment to various job sites, regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds.

• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally on a frequent basis.

• Open to working overtime, including weekends when necessary.

• Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.

• Ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, following project timelines and budgets.

• Maintain survey equipment and address any issues that may arise in the field.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.

• Strong comprehension of surveying principles and practices.

• Proficient in utilizing survey equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.

• Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality work promptly and within budget.
