This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Responsible for gathering data to ensure project completion.
• Identifying boundaries, markers, improvements, utilities, etc., while executing various project types, including ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
• Review and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and manage the downloading and filing of survey data.
• Conduct project research as required.
• Adhere to instructions and work orders issued by project managers.
• Engage in daily communication with your Field Project Manager to verify that you are on schedule for your field assignments and to notify them if you are ahead or behind schedule.
• Physical work environment requirements include:
• Capability to safely traverse and navigate rugged terrain in remote locations.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and muddy environments, as well as at high or precarious locations.
• Ability to transport heavy equipment to different job sites (regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds).
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally frequently.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently, adhering to established schedules and budgets.
• Maintain survey equipment and resolve any issues that may arise in the field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• Solid understanding of surveying principles and practices.
• Proficient in operating survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work punctually and within budget.
