This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Accountable for gathering data to ensure project completion.
• Identifying boundaries, pins, improvements, utilities, etc., while executing various project types, such as ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
• Verify and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and organize/download survey data.
• Conduct project research as required.
• Adhere to instructions and work orders provided by project managers.
• Engage in daily communication with your Field Project Manager to verify your progress in completing the field schedule and inform them if you are on track or deviating from the schedule.
• Physical work environment requirements:
• Capability to safely navigate and traverse rough terrain in remote locations.
• Willingness to consistently work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and muddy environments, as well as high or unstable locations.
• Proficiency in transporting heavy equipment to multiple job sites (regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds).
• Readiness to travel regionally and nationally on a frequent basis.
• Availability to work overtime, including weekends when necessary.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure projects are carried out safely and effectively, complying with project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain survey equipment and resolve issues that may occur in the field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• Comprehensive understanding of surveying concepts and practices.
• Skilled in operating survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• Part 107 license is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, focusing on the timely delivery of high-quality work within budget constraints.
