This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Accountable for gathering data to ensure project completion.
• Identifying boundaries, markers, improvements, utilities, and more while executing various project types, including ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
• Verify and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and download/file survey data.
• Conduct project research as necessary.
• Adhere to instructions and work directives from project managers.
• Maintain daily communication with your Field Project Manager to confirm that you are on schedule and notify them of any delays or advancements.
• Physical work environment requirements:
• Capability to safely navigate and traverse rugged terrain in remote locations.
• Ability to consistently work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and muddy environments, as well as high or precarious locations.
• Capacity to transport heavy equipment to various job sites (regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds).
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally frequently.
• Availability to work overtime, including weekends as necessary.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently, adhering to schedules and budgets.
• Maintain survey equipment and troubleshoot field issues that arise.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• In-depth understanding of surveying concepts and methodologies.
• Proficient in utilizing survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• A Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not required.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
