This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Accountable for gathering data to ensure project completion.

• Identifying boundaries, pins, improvements, utilities, etc., while executing various project types, including ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.

• Verify and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and manage survey data downloads/filing.

• Conduct project research as necessary.

• Adhere to instructions and work orders provided by project managers.

• Engage in daily communication with your Field Project Manager to confirm your progress on the field schedule and notify them if you are ahead or behind schedule.

• Capability to safely navigate and traverse rugged terrain in remote locations.

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and muddy situations, as well as in high/precarious locations.

• Ability to transport heavy equipment to various job sites, including regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds.

• Availability for regional and national travel on a frequent basis.

• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as required.

• Cultivate and sustain excellent relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.

• Ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, in compliance with project schedules and budgets.

• Maintain survey equipment and address any issues that may arise in the field.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.

• Strong comprehension of surveying concepts and practices.

• Proficient in using survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.

• Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential.

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with an emphasis on producing high-quality work on schedule and within budget.
