This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Responsible for gathering data to ensure project completion:
• Identifying boundaries, pins, improvements, utilities, etc., while executing various project types, including ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
• Verify and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and download/store survey data.
• Conduct project research as necessary.
• Adhere to directives and work orders from project managers.
• Maintain daily communication with your Field Project Manager to confirm your progress on the field schedule and notify them if you are ahead or behind schedule.
• Physical work environment requirements:
• Capability to safely navigate rugged terrain in remote locations.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and muddy environments, as well as at high or precarious sites.
• Ability to transport heavy equipment to various job sites (regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds).
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally frequently.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends as required.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, adhering to schedules and budgets.
• Maintain survey equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise in the field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• Strong knowledge of surveying concepts and practices.
• Proficient in using survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, emphasizing high-quality work delivered on time and within budget.
