This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Develop work plans, assemble project teams, allocate tasks, and ensure adherence to project scope and deadlines.
• Set deadlines, assign duties, and track and summarize project progress.
• Manage personnel, generate proposals, and drive business development efforts.
• Supervise and support the scheduling of field operations while maintaining the field schedule/calendar.
• Review and analyze the results of field surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features and structures.
• Accountable for the accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects.
• Build and nurture relationships with both existing and new clients.
• Validate the precision of field survey data, encompassing measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Conduct mathematical computations and verify field data.
• Capable of performing deed and utility research and compiling record information such as record maps, legal descriptions, utility details, and right-of-way data.
• Assist in business development and contract preparation.
• Engage in scoping, risk assessment, and pricing for remediation projects.
• Oversee and approve time-off requests while managing the schedule accordingly.
• Review timesheets for billing accuracy and authorize through accounting software.
• Manage multiple vendors for the procurement of field supplies and tools.
• Coordinate with other survey project managers and field coordinators regarding workload and scheduling requirements.
• Collaborate with project team members, including licensed surveyors, engineers, and technical and survey staff.
• Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and consistently acting in a safe manner.
• Participate in or lead weekly safety meetings with the crew and document the proceedings.
• Maintain digital files on assigned computer equipment to ensure the correct and current data files are utilized.
• Assist in assigning fleet vehicles to field personnel and coordinate fleet maintenance and repairs, including vehicle transfers between offices as required by the company.
• Provide technical guidance and training for using hardware and equipment when necessary; troubleshoot, diagnose, and arrange for repairs of hardware and equipment.
• Support other departments with personnel management and business development initiatives.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
• At least 3-5 years of project management and land surveying experience is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in field management is necessary.
• Familiarity with CSIT is preferable.
• Proficiency in CADD Drawing and Survey Computation is expected.
• Prior experience in a Surveying or Civil Engineering setting is required.
• Experience with Carlson Civil Suites using IntelliCAD is essential.
• Competence in managing field crews is necessary.
• A valid driver's license with an insurable driving record is required.
