• Enter and/or report the necessary policy information into various state websites.
• Prepare filing spreadsheets intended for tax returns and reporting purposes.
• Ensure timely processing of tax returns and payments to states according to the filing calendar.
• Reconcile accounts payable reports to confirm that all policies are correctly accounted for and reported.
• Supply internal brokers and policy representatives with information regarding documentation, filing, and billing requirements.
• Fill out surplus lines licensing information forms as required by the office.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance accounting, state surplus lines filings, and/or insurance billing is required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient customer service skills and experience.
• Competence in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
