
Support Engineer – Blue Prism Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver daily operational assistance for Blue Prism environments (on-premises)
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported issues involving:
• - Blue Prism Application Server, Robot runtime, and environment setup
• - Blue Prism HUB and associated components
• - Authentication, user management, and access rights
• - Connectivity, scheduling, and queue management
• Assess issues to establish whether they originate from platform configuration, infrastructure, or solution design, and implement or suggest appropriate corrective measures
• Organize, coordinate, and implement Blue Prism platform upgrades and version transitions, including HUB updates
• Collaborate with database teams to strategize and carry out SQL Server upgrades (e.g., MSSQL 2016 migrations)
• Aid in the establishment and configuration of Blue Prism reporting databases, including working with DB teams on schema, access, and data flow
• Plan and implement failover server configurations for Blue Prism environments
• Conduct routine system maintenance such as health checks, configuration evaluations, and environment documentation
• Oversee and enhance existing Dynatrace monitoring for Blue Prism infrastructure
• Identify monitoring coverage gaps and proactively implement new monitoring solutions
• Utilize monitoring data to highlight recurring issues and drive operational enhancements
• Serve as a reliable technical contact for clients utilizing Blue Prism in production
• Communicate effectively regarding issues, root causes, and remediation processes
• Maintain a balance between responsiveness and sustainable, thoughtful solutions
• Collaborate with BP3 architects and senior engineers to address complex or systemic issues
• Work in conjunction with Blue Prism support when defects or product-level challenges arise
• Contribute to the creation of documentation, runbooks, and operational knowledge transfer
• Hands-on experience in supporting Blue Prism within production settings
• Strong understanding of Blue Prism architecture, including Application Server, HUB, runtime resources, and database dependencies
• Experience in planning and executing Blue Prism upgrades and patch cycles
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, encompassing basic query writing, connectivity troubleshooting, and coordination with DBA teams
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration, including:
• - Log analysis and event viewer
• - Service management and restarts
• - Basic scripting (PowerShell or similar)
• - File system and permission management
• Experience in support or managed services environments
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
• Familiarity with Dynatrace or similar APM/infrastructure monitoring solutions
• Experience in configuring or supporting failover and high-availability setups for application environments
• Understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancers, SSL/TLS, firewall rules) as they pertain to production troubleshooting
• Previous client-facing consulting or enterprise support experience
• Exposure to other RPA platforms, such as Automation Anywhere
