Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Morocco.

📋 Description

• Enhance the high availability of our Dockerized microservices to guarantee platform stability.

• Initiate and oversee services in Kubernetes to scale our global operations effectively.

• Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform, fostering automation and standardization practices such as GitOps and immutability.

• Execute deployments to production and staging environments while overseeing the complete lifecycle of deployment processes.

• Refine our CI/CD pipeline using tools like GitHub Actions to optimize delivery.

• Construct and sustain monitoring tools for logging, performance, uptime, and tracing to boost system observability.

• Enhance database performance and handle backups, restorations, and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) procedures.

• Work collaboratively with Engineering teams to provide tooling, development support, and post-incident recovery.

• Engage in the ongoing enhancement of IT security best practices and the architecture of new features.

• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure swift incident resolution and effective stakeholder communication under pressure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering or DevOps within an agile, fast-paced environment.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Docker and deploying services in Kubernetes.

• Technical expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and version control systems such as Git.

• Demonstrated experience with Cloud environments, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Proficient in databases, with substantial knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB is a plus).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or ArgoCD.

• Experience in monitoring with tools such as New Relic, Grafana, or Datadog to enhance product quality.

• Knowledge of Python development and experience with various API standards (REST, JSON-RPC, SOAP/XML).

• Familiarity with API clients like Postman or Insomnia and various Linux shells including Bash.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, **or equivalent work experience**.
