Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide support and ensure the maintenance of AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, storage, load balancing)

• Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and enhance reliability

• Assist with infrastructure modifications and deployments within a production environment

• Administer and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL or equivalent)

• Facilitate patching, updates, and adherence to system hardening best practices (STIGs)

• Work with containerized workloads (Docker, ECS/Fargate, or similar technologies)

• Adhere to security best practices and assist with compliance obligations in a regulated setting

• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure a stable and secure platform

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, and/or DevOps positions

• Proficient in working with AWS (Commercial or GovCloud)

• Experience in supporting production systems or applications, ideally in a SaaS environment

• Strong skills in Linux administration (RHEL or similar)

• Familiarity with essential AWS services (compute, networking, storage)

• Basic knowledge of containers (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, or similar)

• Understanding of networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, security groups)

• Exposure to monitoring, logging, or troubleshooting tools

• Must be eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance
