This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Deliver daily operational assistance for Blue Prism environments (on-prem).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by customers across:
• Blue Prism Application Server, Robot runtime, and environment configuration.
• Blue Prism HUB and associated components.
• User management, authentication, and permissions.
• Connectivity, scheduling, and queue management.
• Analyze problems to ascertain whether they arise from platform configuration, infrastructure, or solution design, and implement or suggest suitable corrective measures.
• Organize, coordinate, and carry out Blue Prism platform upgrades and version transitions, including HUB upgrades.
• Collaborate with database teams to plan and execute SQL Server upgrades (e.g., migrations to MSSQL 2016).
• Assist in the setup and configuration of Blue Prism reporting databases, including liaising with DB teams regarding schema, access, and data flow.
• Develop and implement failover server configurations for Blue Prism environments.
• Conduct routine system maintenance, which includes health checks, configuration reviews, and documentation of the environment monitoring & observability.
• Enhance and maintain existing Dynatrace monitoring for Blue Prism infrastructure.
• Identify any monitoring coverage gaps and proactively implement new monitoring solutions.
• Utilize monitoring data to highlight recurring issues and promote operational enhancements.
• Serve as a reliable technical contact for clients utilizing Blue Prism in production.
• Clearly communicate about issues, root causes, and remediation strategies.
• Strike a balance between responsiveness and thoughtful, sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with BP3 architects and senior engineers to address complex or systemic issues.
• Work in conjunction with Blue Prism support when defects or product-level issues are discovered.
• Contribute to the development of documentation, runbooks, and operational knowledge transfer.
• Practical experience supporting Blue Prism in production settings.
• Strong understanding of Blue Prism architecture, including Application Server, HUB, runtime resources, and database dependencies.
• Experience in planning and executing Blue Prism upgrades and patch management cycles.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, encompassing basic query writing, connectivity troubleshooting, and collaboration with DBA teams.
• Familiarity with Windows Server administration, including:
• Log analysis and event viewer.
• Service management and restarts.
• Basic scripting (PowerShell or similar).
• File system and permission management.
• Experience in support or managed services environments.
• Capability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
• Knowledge of Dynatrace or similar APM/infrastructure monitoring tools (Preferred Experience).
• Experience in configuring or supporting failover and high-availability setups for application environments (Preferred Experience).
• Understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancers, SSL/TLS, firewall rules) as they pertain to production troubleshooting (Preferred Experience).
• Previous client-facing consulting or enterprise support experience (Preferred Experience).
