Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• The Support Engineer will join the Sinch Support team, recognized globally as a leader in Messaging solutions delivery.

• This position reports to the Manager of Support for the Americas and Europe at Sinch.

• The job will be performed remotely from Colombia, though occasional travel may be required based on organizational needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A relevant university degree is required for the Support Engineer position, along with a minimum of a few years of experience in technical roles within the telecom and/or IT sectors.

• The ideal candidate is expected to have experience and knowledge in some or all of the following areas:

• - Unix/Linux based systems

• - OCS/Prepaid Systems or VAS systems (such as SMSC, MMSC, USSD, WAP GW, IVR, Voice Mail, Collect Call, etc.)

• - Familiarity with Oracle DB is an advantage

• - Proficient in English

• - Understanding of IP networks, Diameter, Sigtran/SS7

• - Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware or similar is a plus

• - Demonstrates initiative and makes thoughtful decisions

• - Possesses a customer-, technical-, and solution-oriented mindset

• - Experienced in multitasking and comfortable doing so

• - Highly organized

• - Maintains a positive attitude

• - Adapts positively to an ever-evolving environment

• - Proven ability to excel and surpass expectations.
