This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement comprehensive cold-chain logistics for biologics, with a strong emphasis on inventory management across APAC, EU, and US-based CRO/CMO/CDMO operations.
• Oversee the global transportation of drug substances, drug products, and a variety of sample and stability materials.
• Ensure strict inventory management for large molecule drug substances, drug products, and other materials across a diverse external manufacturing network.
• Proactively identify and address cross-border transit risks; maintain GxP and temperature compliance, enhance international transportation routes, and facilitate customs clearance processes.
• Establish productive partnerships with key stakeholders across various functions, including CMC and GMP manufacturing, Analytical Development, Quality Assurance, Discovery, and external service providers to guarantee timely delivery of materials for all product initiatives.
• Collaborate with 3PLs to ensure adherence to delivery timelines and to resolve any customs holds and delays.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related discipline within Life Sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or medical device cold-chain logistics, particularly with biologics or large-molecule products.
• At least 2 years of direct experience in managing inbound freight forwarding from APAC and EU regions into the United States. Robust understanding of global trade compliance, biologics import/export regulations, and GxP standards.
• In-depth knowledge of thermal packaging and temperature monitoring technologies.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems (such as Oracle/Oracle NetSuite, SAP), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Preferred certifications include Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), along with training in IATA Dangerous Goods for dry ice / LN2 shipments.
• Capable of translating technical logistics data effectively for Technical Operations and Finance teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in analyzing complex transit data, trade lane costs, and warehouse capacity limitations.
• Strong aptitude for forecasting supply chain bottlenecks and geopolitical disruptions, and developing resilient contingency plans for high-value biological shipments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with APAC and EU partners across significantly varying time zones.
