Supplier Quality Engineer – Pre Fab

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for providing support to suppliers worldwide, encompassing both supplier capability and quality duties.

• Oversee parts qualification, supplier capability, and quality assurance & control activities across supplier development and monitoring.

• Manage Supplier Management activities within the NAM Region, including global supplier management based on the equipment supplied.

• Handle supplier quality management, engineering quality assurance, non-conformance and corrective/preventative action planning, quality audits and compliance, continuous improvement & lessons learned, along with documentation management.

• Execute QMS and Compliance requirements linked to Supplier Quality Management.

• Ensure that engineering deliverables meet Client specifications and U.S. standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, NEC).

• Plan and conduct internal process & project quality audits, supplier audits, and site audits.

• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, Client-specific quality requirements, and U.S. regulatory standards.

• Support design reviews with emphasis on constructability, quality risks, risk mitigation, lessons learned integration, and verifying proper document control and traceability.

• Responsible for key Supplier Management metrics, such as quality performance – first time right, First Pass Yield, RCA Completion – timeliness, aging, CAPA, CoPQ, and Supplier Cost Recovery.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Electrical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• 5–10+ years of experience in quality management, supplier quality, or engineering within high-voltage substations or transmission & distribution projects.

• Experience in EPC or large infrastructure projects in the U.S.

• Strong background in FAT/SAT and field construction quality.

• Familiarity with relevant standards: IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NEMA.

• Proficient in communication (both spoken and written) in English; additional languages are a plus.

• Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating cross-functional teamwork and an understanding of factors affecting the business and our suppliers.

• Proven experience in Supplier Quality Management, including planning and executing audits; certified auditor status is preferred.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 90% of the time.
