Research Scientist III – QA-QC, Fire Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage with data, formulate initial insights, and create reports and visual representations.

• Examine data and construct models related to fire safety science.

• Ensure the integrity of data, maintain lineage, and adhere to governance standards.

• Present research findings both internally and externally.

• Plan, design, and execute tests as necessary to validate outcomes.

• Collaborate with various teams and work alongside students.

• Keep abreast of evolving technologies and take part in academic events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, along with 8 or more years of pertinent work experience; OR

• Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with 4 or more years of relevant work experience; OR

• PhD in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 2 or more years of applicable work experience.

• Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools and contemporary data pipeline architectures.

• Experience in data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance practices.

• Skilled in testing and troubleshooting data pipelines, integrations, and transformation processes.

• Experience in developing automated data quality checks and validation scripts.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Capacity to collaborate with colleagues and work closely with Research Scientists and other team members to see a project through from inception to completion.

• Competence to lead as the primary author on reports and academic papers.
