• Conduct thorough in-process and final inspections on machined components, composites, and intricate assemblies to ensure adherence to engineering specifications, drawings, and contractual obligations.
• Execute final data package evaluations in accordance with contractual stipulations for electronic acceptance with warranty stamping.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to confirm product compliance.
• Employ a range of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, visual aids, and other precision measurement devices.
• Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guarantee comprehensive inspection coverage.
• Work collaboratively with designated Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) and Quality Managers to address non-conformances, implement corrective measures, and promote continuous improvement.
• Assist in supplier quality initiatives, which may involve nationwide travel for on-site inspections, occasionally requiring immediate deployment.
• Ensure adherence to all internal protocols, customer specifications, and relevant industry standards.
• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in quality inspection.
• Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience in quality inspection.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in quality inspection is required.
• At least 4 years of relevant quality inspection experience in aerospace or a highly regulated sector.
• Capability to conduct short-notice, on-site supplier inspections across the nation.
• Previous experience in the aerospace industry supporting supplier quality or source inspection efforts.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9102 FAIR Requirements is essential.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Awareness of nonconformance documentation, corrective action procedures, and supplier quality systems.
• Proficient in GD&T principles and applications.
• Previous or current experience in NDT Inspection (e.g., Radiographic, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, Ultrasonic).
• Previous or current experience in Welding Inspection.
• Experience with inspections of composites and assemblies.
• Experience in inspecting machined products.
• Experience in performing independent product acceptance under warranty stamping.
• Skilled in the use of inspection tools, including hand tools, precision measurement devices, borescopes, surface gauges, and visual inspection aids.
