This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and evaluate the quality performance of suppliers regarding raw materials (such as steel, aluminum, copper, and plastics) and purchased components.
• Lead investigations into root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues related to suppliers.
• Work collaboratively with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to assess and qualify new suppliers and materials.
• Perform supplier audits, assessments, and evaluations of performance.
• Create and sustain supplier quality metrics, scorecards, and reporting dashboards.
• Assist in developing incoming inspection strategies, including inspection plans and sampling methodologies.
• Propel continuous improvement initiatives with key suppliers to minimize defects, variability, and costs associated with poor quality.
• Ensure that suppliers comply with company specifications, regulatory standards, and industry benchmarks.
• Travel: This position requires a minimum of 25% travel.
• A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred in engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• 2–5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or quality assurance is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, FMEA, SPC).
• Experience with metals and/or plastics is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence external partners.
