This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Oversee enterprise job scheduling and file transfer operations to support essential business applications and functions.
• Track system performance and address production issues through root cause analysis to enhance reliability and prevent repeated incidents.
• Streamline operational processes by creating scripts and identifying opportunities to minimize manual labor and boost efficiency.
• Assist with data warehouse and data mart processing by managing batch jobs and file transfer activities.
• Work in collaboration with business partners, IT teams, and vendors to implement system improvements and maintain stable production settings.
• Create and implement test plans while adhering to change management and production control standards.
• Ensure accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base resources are maintained to support ongoing operations.
• Provide on-call support and aid in business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives for supported applications and systems.
• Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in information technology, computer operations, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise systems, troubleshooting production problems, and adhering to change management processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Preferred: 5 or more years of experience in computer operations or systems monitoring.
• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience with BMC Control-M, Momentum, or similar enterprise scheduling and workload automation tools.
• Preferred: Experience in developing scripts to automate operational tasks.
• Preferred: Familiarity with IBM Power Systems, Windows, UNIX environments, and data warehouse operations.
