Supplier Performance Specialist, Midwest

📋 Description

• The Supplier Performance team is tasked with pinpointing flow constraints and serving as a technical liaison, leveraging problem-solving abilities while fostering effective collaborations with all Functional Groups, including but not limited to Procurement, Supplier Development, Engineering, Quality, Production, New Product Introduction, Transitions, and sub-tier support to enhance supplier delivery performance.

• The Supplier Performance Specialist (SPS) will also assist in production rate enhancement initiatives across all PW programs.

• The SPS will manage the operational facets of projects in development and act as a liaison between the supplier and the commodity team, evaluating part issues and formulating resolutions to achieve production throughput, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives through collaboration with key supply chain stakeholders.

• Identify flow constraints that will aid in formulating improvement and mitigation strategies to enhance on-time delivery from suppliers.

• Actively participate in cross-functional supplier performance evaluations and co-lead Supplier Business Reviews and Rate Readiness Reviews alongside our customers and Supplier Development Leaders.

• Lead or co-lead production meetings with suppliers.

• Maintain an overarching vision and recognize that boosting operational efficiency is crucial for organizational business success.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the products and operational processes involved at the suppliers you will collaborate with.

• Identify and address barriers to business objectives specifically related to the timely delivery of parts.

• Effectively drive tasks and projects to completion, including but not limited to: Leading Indicator data collection and gap analysis, material coverage and tracking, facilitating quality notification communication and resolutions, and assisting with sub-tier management.

• Communicate effectively across all leadership levels within the company and the supply base.

• Build and nurture relationships with various partners, customers, and suppliers.

• Manage multiple projects and engage with several departments and diverse levels of management simultaneously.

• Lead, manage, and/or support process improvement initiatives.

• Through disciplined change management practices, champion initiatives, processes, and CORE throughout the organization and across the supply chain.

• Employ a project management approach and process improvement methodologies to lead projects as planned, including identifying and mitigating project risks.

• Collect feedback and collaborate to identify new improvement opportunities alongside Supplier Development Leaders.

• Must be willing to travel up to 80% of your time within the Midwest, USA, and Canada regions.

• Spend 80% of your time on-site at suppliers and 20% working from a home office.

⛳️ Requirements

• A College Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years in delivery assurance, supply chain, or a related field.

• Must reside in the Midwest, USA, and Canada regions (USA: IL, IN, IA, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, OH, SD, and WI; CAN: ON and QC).

• U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related area.

• Ability to lead and motivate change.

• Quick learner who comprehends the 'essence of what is happening’ and can adapt rapidly.

• Build strong relationships with peers and partners outside the team to enhance performance.

• Open-mindedness towards the ideas of others, capable of analyzing and transforming innovation into reality.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Proficient in SAP and Qlik/Power BI.
