Supplier Performance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints to develop improvement and mitigation plans aimed at enhancing on-time delivery from suppliers.

• Acquire a comprehensive view of the organization, recognizing that improving operational effectiveness is crucial for business performance.

• Cultivate a deep understanding of the products and the operational processes involved at the suppliers you will collaborate with.

• Generate and seize opportunities to overcome functional, operational, and logistical challenges in getting products delivered.

• Identify and work to eliminate barriers affecting business goals, particularly concerning the on-time delivery of parts.

• Effectively drive tasks and projects to completion, which includes collecting Leading Indicator (LI) data: RM availability and orders, WIP tracking, closure of quality notifications, and tracking of sub-tier suppliers.

• Manage multiple projects while engaging with various departments and levels of management simultaneously.

• Oversee and support process improvement projects, prioritize project efforts, and align with the needs of the CORE operating system.

• Employ project management techniques and process improvement methodologies to lead projects as planned, including identifying and mitigating risks.

• Solicit feedback and collaborate with Supplier Development Leaders to identify new improvement initiatives.

• Participate actively in Commodity Days, EMMs, and SEMO (Supplier Executive Management Overviews), co-leading with customers and Supplier Development Leaders regarding the respective suppliers.

• Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time within the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area.

• Spend 80% of your time on-site at suppliers, with 20% working from a home office.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree or equivalent experience, along with 5 years of prior experience in delivery assurance, supply chain, or a related field; or an advanced degree with 2 years of experience.

• Must reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Experience in operations, supply chain management, or a related field is essential.

• Quick learner with the ability to grasp the essence of situations and adapt swiftly.

• Capable of building strong relationships with peers and partners outside of the immediate team to enhance performance.

• Open to considering others' ideas, analyzing them, and translating innovation into reality.

• A flexible, enthusiastic self-starter.

• Proficient in SAP and Qlik/Power BI.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
