This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Perform on-site evaluations of suppliers concentrating on manufacturing execution and operational efficiency.
β’ Analyze processes related to production planning, scheduling, level loading, and capacity utilization.
β’ Review plant layouts, workflow efficiency, material movement, and work-in-process controls.
β’ Detect bottlenecks, production limitations, throughput challenges, and operational risks.
β’ Examine operational KPIs, visual management systems, and daily management practices.
β’ Assess adherence to manufacturing process standards, standard work discipline, and the effectiveness of workforce training.
β’ Evaluate the scalability of supplier operations during periods of growth, demand variations, and new product launches.
β’ Review equipment readiness, maintenance practices, tooling availability, and dependency on overtime.
β’ Identify systemic risks that affect quality, delivery, cost, and production stability.
β’ Offer evidence-based recommendations aimed at enhancing manufacturing performance and operational preparedness.
β’ Assist in developing and validating corrective actions.
β’ Contribute to comprehensive evaluations of supplier readiness and risk assessments.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing, operations leadership, industrial engineering, production planning, or operational excellence.
β’ In-depth knowledge of manufacturing systems, production scheduling, capacity planning, and factory operations.
β’ Experience in assessing high-mix, low-volume manufacturing settings.
β’ Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
β’ Familiarity with material flow, work-in-process (WIP) management, operational KPIs, and constraint management.
β’ Experience in supporting operational turnarounds, supplier recovery initiatives, or manufacturing transformations is preferred.
β’ Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Capability to swiftly identify operational risks in complex manufacturing environments.
β’ Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 50%.
