This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Lead, inspire, and guide a team of payroll specialists, focusing on their development and performance.

• Conduct regular individual meetings, performance evaluations, and team check-ins.

• Provide direction on intricate payroll matters and ensure the team complies with company policies and legal standards.

• Deliver payroll system training and support for annual updates to new team members.

• Oversee the complete payroll process, including data gathering, processing, reporting, and reconciliation.

• Serve as a point of escalation for client inquiries, making sure issues are addressed promptly and professionally.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and retention.

• Participate in monthly client calls and follow up on inquiries.

• Continuously assess payroll processes to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements.

• Stay informed about changes in payroll legislation and industry trends to ensure compliance.

• Use analytics to evaluate team member and client performance, implementing improvements as needed.

• Ensure that clients and team members adhere to agreed-upon calendar deadlines.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing an end-to-end Italian payroll process in a bureau setting.

• Familiarity with payroll systems, regulations, and industry best practices.

• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, along with effective time management and multitasking skills.

• Proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges, with the capacity to share information and engage positively with others.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective liaison with clients and stakeholders.

• Client-centered mindset with a dedication to providing outstanding service.

• Leadership experience with a proven history of managing and developing teams (although experienced payrollers looking to transition into a supervisory role will also be considered).

• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and keeping abreast of payroll trends and legislation.

• A diploma in payroll management is a plus.
