
Supervisor β Application Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the management of an application development team, which includes staffing, delegating tasks, performance evaluation, and professional development of employees.
β’ Create and prioritize project plans and requirements, ensuring alignment with IT policies, security measures, and regulatory standards.
β’ Manage moderate to large-scale projects that may involve various technologies and intricate business functionalities.
β’ Establish and nurture communication and collaborative relationships with other departments throughout the organization.
β’ Offer design insights and supervision during the implementation of complex software development initiatives.
β’ Guide team members on work processes, conduct code reviews, unit tests, and security assessments.
β’ Share system knowledge with junior team members and provide mentorship.
β’ Lead the team in collaborative project efforts and in resolving customer-related issues.
β’ Assess work requirements, set priorities, and determine the optimal utilization of resources.
β’ Carry out administrative responsibilities related to enterprise applications and systems.
β’ Design, develop, and test new applications.
β’ Track and evaluate individual performance, providing constructive feedback and training as necessary.
β’ Mentor staff to promote ongoing development of their skill sets.
β’ Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to set objectives and review performance metrics.
β’ Assess each goal, behavior, and skill set comprehensively.
β’ Engage in the recruitment process for new employees.
β’ Perform additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience or demonstrated competency in lieu of formal education.
β’ Proven experience as a Team Lead within an Application Development Team.
β’ A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years dedicated to large-scale application development and application system design.
β’ Demonstrated experience in managing customer requirements or expectations.
β’ Alternatively, equivalent military experience is acceptable.
