Supervising Physician, Psychiatry – Eating Disorders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and manage ongoing medication for patients.

• Execute regular chart audits along with clinical and performance coaching in line with compliance standards.

• Be readily available for clinical consultations and address case escalations from team members.

• Implement collaborative practice agreements for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within a behavioral health framework.

• Assess vital signs, lab trends, and objective indicators to ensure medical and psychiatric stability.

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team to establish medical protocols and treatment plans.

• Utilize electronic medical record messaging to facilitate patient support and treatment communication.

• Accurately document information within the Equip electronic medical record, adhering to Equip’s policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a recognized institution.

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

• Possess an active, unrestricted medical license in one or more states, with a strong inclination to acquire multi-state licensure to align with the APP framework.

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with proven success in supervising, mentoring, and providing clinical oversight to advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs).

• Demonstrated experience or strong foundational skills in managing eating disorders, including assessing refeeding risks, monitoring psychiatric/medical stability, and handling high-risk psychotropic medications.

• Outstanding communication skills with a proven history of collaboration with diverse teams and external healthcare providers.

• Ability to swiftly adapt to a dynamic startup environment and shifting clinical and organizational priorities, showcasing strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Significant clinical maturity to handle complex cases while fostering therapeutic relationships and ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care.
