Subtitle Editor, Technician, QC Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop, convert, and export various subtitle formats while preparing deliverable assets.

• Gain a thorough understanding of client-specific protocols and comply with all special instructions.

• Capable of conducting comprehensive technical quality control on both English and non-English subtitle files.

• Draft and send communications to internal teams and third-party vendors regarding project specifications, revisions, and approvals.

• Generate backup files for client archival needs.

• Collaborate with the Keywords Studios and Keywords Global Team and/or Project Team on a project-by-project basis.

• Assist team members in resolving issues and addressing inquiries in a constructive and timely manner.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in subtitling.

• Strong technical knowledge of subtitling tools such as Wincaps, EZtitle, Spot, etc. is essential.

• Familiarity with various subtitle/closed captioning formats, including SCC, SRT, STL, PAC, TTML (.dfxp, .xml, .ttml).

• Fluency in English is required, with both spoken and written skills; bilingual candidates are highly preferred.

• Previous experience in subtitle localization is an advantage.

• Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary.

• Strong attention to detail in all projects is essential.

• Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced global team environment.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.

• Proficient in following detailed instructions and documenting processes clearly.

• Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
