Subsurface Data Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the management and upkeep of Well & Seismic data services for clients, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

• Assist Subsurface and Exploration teams in upholding data quality, optimizing workflows, and enhancing accessibility within the Subsurface and Exploration product line.

• Address client needs regarding Exploration and Geological Well & Seismic data, which includes data acquisition, conversion, transfer, quality assurance, and archiving.

• Ensure compliance with Information and Samples Retention and Reporting requirements.

• Facilitate compliance enhancement initiatives across client databases and design and implement Information and Samples Plans (ISPs).

• Act as a primary liaison between the Geoscience community and Data Management teams.

• Supervise the acquisition, storage, integration, and optimization of subsurface data.

• Perform data quality evaluations, enforce standards, and ensure uniformity across projects and corporate repositories.

• Provide Well & Seismic data management services for E&P applications while maintaining corporate databases.

• Regularly update and manage data inventories, applying established standards for consistency and optimization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing subsurface data within exploration and production environments.

• Proficiency in data management within the Petrel environment; familiarity with Landmark, Kingdom, and other technical applications is a plus.

• Strong grasp of upstream business operations, with comprehensive knowledge of data management principles, standards, practices, tools, and technologies.

• Understanding of data lifecycle management and compliance with regulatory obligations, including experience with the UK National Data Repository.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with a variety of stakeholders.

• Degree in Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent IS experience with G&G data.
