This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design, develop, and enhance comprehensive recommendation systems, covering all aspects from data ingestion to model deployment.
• Construct, optimize, and assess recommendation algorithms for improved scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to incorporate machine learning solutions within business applications.
• Lead and oversee projects, ensuring timely delivery of solutions that align with business goals.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior data scientists and engineers.
• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders, showcasing strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Foster innovation by investigating and applying new techniques in recommendation systems and artificial intelligence.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data science, replenishment optimization, and supply chain management, leveraging this knowledge to inspire innovation within the organization.
• Collaborate with, mentor, and learn from a growing team of experienced Data Scientists.
• 8+ years of overall experience in Data Science / Machine Learning, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Recommendation Systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in recommendation algorithms and machine learning engineering practices.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, including production-level coding, and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Proactive, responsible, and capable of taking ownership of complex projects.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to comprehend business partner requirements and deliver solutions while explaining findings to business stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Influence: Ability to lead significant analytics projects and translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Communication: Outstanding presentation skills, able to drive strategic discussions and build consensus among diverse organizational teams.
