This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, define, and implement advanced analytics and data science initiatives.

• Develop data modeling processes, along with algorithms and predictive models.

• Provide insights that guide and facilitate business decision-making.

• Construct, prototype, and deploy machine learning models within production settings.

• Work alongside product, technology, and other stakeholders to determine and outline data science projects.

• Convey modeling challenges, discoveries, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Design and execute end-to-end ETL (extract, transform, load) data pipelines, integrating data from various sources.

• Investigate new internal and external data sources and evaluate their commercial value.

• Mentor team members and act as a subject matter expert during cross-functional discussions.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, or a related quantitative field from an accredited institution is preferred.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience, including three (3) years focused on predictive modeling, data science, and analysis, with a strong foundation in data visualization tools, data exploration, data wrangling, and feature engineering.

• Experience in natural language processing and healthcare data is preferred.

• Proficient in coding with Python or R and capable of documenting for reproducibility.

• Strong ability to review and assess models and code created by others.

• Competent in utilizing data visualization tools and libraries.

• Excellent skills in data exploration, data wrangling, and feature engineering.

• Familiarity with the application of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases.

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.

• Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office products.

• Strong analytical and interpretative abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Capability to produce comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports.

• Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
