
Substation Test Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate within a team to conduct functional, relay, and SCADA testing in utility-level substations.
• Execute equipment acceptance testing, relay and protection scheme assessments, and SCADA system evaluations.
• Identify and resolve issues as they occur.
• Carry out equipment inspections at vendor facilities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• A minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical Technology/Engineering is preferred, or equivalent industry experience (5+ years).
• 3-5 years of experience working with or specifically testing substation equipment.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, IEEE, NETA, etc.).
• Knowledge of applicable testing procedures for the mentioned equipment types.
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office, SEL, TapTalk, Doble, RTS, Adobe, and other necessary software.
• Must possess a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials up to 60 lbs.
• Capability to work in elevated positions.
• May encounter energized equipment.
• OSHA 10-hour NFPA 70E Training required.
• FA/CPR Training required.
