Substation Structural Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with and lead a diverse team of designers and drafters to develop structural designs, perform calculations, and produce technical drawings for substation projects.

• Oversee design reviews to ensure quality and compliance.

• Provide mentorship to junior designers to foster their growth.

• Work in conjunction with other disciplines to achieve project goals.

• Manage project timelines effectively to meet deadlines.

• Keep abreast of relevant technologies to guarantee structural integrity and the successful completion of projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology - CAD or a related scientific/technical field.

• 0 to 4 years of applicable experience in steel design.

• Proven understanding of design principles related to high voltage electrical substations.

• Proficient in Substation Power Delivery Software including Autodesk AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation.

• Experience with 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor.
