This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Development and creation of Protection and Control Drawings
• Single Line and Three Line diagrams for substations
• AC/DC schematic designs
• Layouts for substation panels
• Wiring diagrams and cable schedules for substations
• Diagrams for SCADA and communication systems
• Point-to-point wiring diagrams
• Collaboration with physical, settings, and drafting teams to assure high-quality deliverables
• Analyze and integrate vendor information into design outputs
• Implement client-specific standards in relation to the work
• Ensure adherence to the company's Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes for all design packages
• Ongoing enhancement of job-related engineering, technical, and professional expertise, skills, and performance
• Associate's degree or High School Diploma
• Over 3 years of comprehensive wiring design experience, including the development of single lines, schematics, and relay panels
• More than 3 years of experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MicroStation software
• Proficiency in AC/DC control diagrams to effectively carry out point-to-point wiring requirements
• Capability to support lead engineers with preliminary design requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word
• Familiarity with the practical application of industry standards such as NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI
• Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles necessary for producing technical plans, blueprints, and drawings
