Junior Civil Design Technologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Prepare, create, and sustain Civil 3D models, drawings, and design surfaces for infrastructure, environmental, and land development initiatives.

• Develop and oversee alignments, profiles, corridors, pipe networks, grading, and surfaces within Civil 3D.

• Ensure adherence to CAD standards, templates, styles, and best practices across the EDR team and associated disciplines.

• Serve as a technical liaison for Civil 3D workflows, providing troubleshooting and optimization support.

• Facilitate integration between Civil 3D, AutoCAD, GIS, and survey data (including surfaces, points, and control).

• Manage design updates, revisions, and version control in collaboration with project managers and designers.

• Work closely with the Central Graphics Team (CGT), GIS, survey, and engineering teams to guarantee data consistency and workflow alignment.

• Assist with project initialization, drawing organization, naming conventions, and file management.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of design workflows, automation, and efficiency.

• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology.

• Familiarity with Civil 3D objects, styles, data shortcuts, and reference management.

• Strong understanding of survey data, coordinate systems, and surface creation.

• Knowledge of integrating GIS data into Civil 3D workflows is a plus.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and quality control abilities.

• Effective communication skills with the capacity to coordinate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Practical experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D in a consulting or project-based setting would be advantageous.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit project sites as required.
