Substance Use Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Deliver psychotherapy for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults and their families.

• Tailor services to address the distinctive requirements of clients.

• Lead IOP, SOP, and Aftercare groups utilizing the agency's Substance Abuse Program curriculum.

• Provide individual and/or family therapy as necessary.

• Leverage community resources and referrals to enhance and broaden treatment options.

• Complete reports and communicate promptly with DCS, probation, and other relevant parties.

• Collaborate with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners.

• Foster positive working relationships.

• Operate remotely while upholding professional standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling, or social work is REQUIRED.

• Experience in facilitating groups is necessary.

• Background working with substance abuse populations is required.

• AzBBHE Licensure is preferred.

• Experience with the Families First program is advantageous.

• Must possess or be able to acquire a valid fingerprint clearance card.

• A valid Arizona Driver's License with no major infractions in the past three years is mandatory.

• If driving during agency hours or for business, appropriate liability insurance and approval for coverage are required.

• At the time of hiring, a 3-year state driving record with no major infractions or excessive driving violations/tickets is required.

• Candidates must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities are essential.

• Clear and effective communication is expected.

• Strong customer service skills are necessary.

• Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities are required.

• Ability to document detailed information is essential.

• Capability to multitask effectively is required.

• Ability to remain composed in crisis situations is essential.

• Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Ability to recognize personal limitations is crucial.

• Ability to engage positively and empathetically with all individuals regardless of age, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation is necessary.

• Maintain professional conduct in accordance with ethical practices and agency policies.

• Uphold a professional demeanor while working remotely.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
